Determine the correct washbasin height
The right height is important when installing a washbasin or washstand. We explain below what you need to look out for here.

Observe the lateral distance to the wall
To ensure sufficient freedom of movement, the washbasin should be at least 20 cm away from the wall at the sides. There should be about 65 cm of space around the washbasin, measured from the centre. A clearance of 1 to 1.40 metres is recommended towards the front. In barrier-free bathrooms, 1.50 × 1.50 metres of free space is required in front of the washbasin.
