Plants in the bathroom

Aloe vera is one of the most popular bathroom plants. It needs a light, sunny space in the bathroom. The tropical monstera, recognisable by its large, perforated leaves, even copes with semi-shaded locations. The abaca, or banana plant, grows up to two metres in height and needs a lot of sunlight.
 

The peace lily is one of the most beautiful bathroom plants. It prefers warm, humid conditions and flourishes even in the shade. The easy-care aspidistra does not need ideal light conditions and is a perfect plant for novices. One trailing plant for the bathroom is ivy arum. It adds a tropical note to the room and needs very little sunlight.

The Zanzibar gem copes perfectly well without light, which makes it ideal for a windowless bathroom. Easy-care ivy is another good choice for a bathroom with no natural daylight and it is perfect for small bathrooms too. With its reddish leaves, the fittonia will add a colourful note to a dark bathroom.
