CAUTION!

Check the sink for any possible damage BEFORE INSTALLATION.

Only install flawless sinks.

IMPORTANT! Only work with safety goggles and suitable protective clothing!

BEFORE INSTALLING the sink, punch the required tap holes as follows:

Carefully transfer the centre of the required tap hole from the underside of the sink and mark it on the glazed surface.

The tap hole may only be punched from the GLAZED SURFACE and NEVER FROM THE UNDERSIDE OF THE SINK!

Use suitable tools (e.g. hammer and punch) to punch the pre-punched tap hole from top to bottom.

When doing so, always start by placing the punch in the middle of the tap hole. Then enlarge the hole to the required diameter.

Make sure the glazing around the tap hole does not get damaged.

Kitchen tap fittings

Use a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth. Cleaners containing muriatic acid, formic acid, chlorine bleach solution or acetic acid, as well as abrasive cleaning agents, must not be used as they can cause substantial damage.

Prevent scale formation on the tap fitting by cleaning it regularly.

When spray cleaning the tap fitting, always spray the cleaning solution onto the cleaning cloth (not onto the tap fitting) and use the cloth to clean the tap fitting, as the spray can penetrate openings and gaps in the tap fitting and cause damage.

After cleaning the tap fitting, rinse it with clear water to remove all cleaner residues.

If there are leakages at this point, water leaks from the spray screw connection and runs along the spray hose into the base or sink cabinet. Check the connection between the hose and pull-out spout/spray and tighten the union nut.

Noises in the piping system are caused by high pressure conditions or loose pipes in the in-wall installation. As a general rule, noises are not caused by the tap fitting. Ask your plumber about fitting a pressure reducing valve to solve the problem.

On brass tap fittings, release the lever plug (usually the cold/hot mark) and tighten the fastening screw again using the Allen key.

On stainless steel tap fittings, the (unconcealed) set screw is located on the underside of the lever. Simply tighten it again using the Allen key.

Check the correct seating of the hose weight/return spring. Also check whether the swivel range of the tap fitting is centred in its normal position and that it is not in at the limit stop on the right or left. Make sure the hose does not rub against the connecting hoses or any objects in the sink cabinet.

The tap fitting is fitted with a cartridge and ceramic discs. If the ceramic discs are damaged by dirt washed in from the piping system, then this can also cause a leak shortly after installation. The manufacturer is not responsible for these leakages.

The leakages can be stopped by replacing the cartridge.

The supply line must be flushed in accordance with valid standards before installing the tap fitting. A household water filter that meets valid standards must be installed.

Close the angle valves and undo the fastening screw on the lever using an Allen key. The fastening screw is located under the lever plug (usually the cold/hot mark) on brass tap fittings, and on the underside of the lever on stainless steel tap fittings.

Remove the lever, collar and union nut, and then remove the cartridge. Check the inside of the tap fitting for dirt deposits, insert the new cartridge and fix it by tightening the union nut. Refit the collar, lever and lever plug.

The swivel spout is mounted on sealing rings. If the rings are damaged by scale and dirt deposits, then leakages can occur. Replacing and greasing the sealing rings will make the tap fitting fully functional again.

1.) Cold water is heated up in the boiler.

The water expands and is pressed through the continuously open hot water discharge into the outlet.

When the hot water shut-off valve opens, pressure builds up in the boiler, which drops on being closed by pressing the water through the continuously

open hot water inlet.

When hot water is withdrawn, cold water flows into the lower section of the boiler. This causes the temperature to drop, which results in the boiler heating up the water again. The water expands as it gets warmer and produces an overpressure,

which presses the water into the continuously open hot water inlet.

2.) Whist the boiler is heating up the water, expansion water comes out of the outlet.

This process is normal and cannot be prevented. (Subsequent dripping of the tap for a short period is not a reason for complaint)

We therefore kindly request you never to use PERLATORS, WATER SAVING PRODUCTS or other water volume regulators.

Only use special JET REGULATORS for low-pressure tap fittings.
